THE WINTER SEASON IN COLOMBIA LEAVES MORE HAVOC.



The winter season in Colombia has left 300 deaths and millions of victims. Departments most affected are: Atlántico, Bolívar, Magdalena, Córdoba, Sucre, Chocó, Antioquia, Cesar, Valle, Cauca y Santander.

In Bogota, the situation is worse than many cities, the Bogota River has overflowed and it has affected to many sectors like Kennedy and Tunjuelito.

In Aracata y Fundacion, municipalities of Magdalena, the overflow of the Fundacion River,  provoked flooding in several neighborhoods of these municipalities. The flooding also results in blockage of the Eastern Trunk.

According to the report of the Regional Committee for Disaster Prevention Magdalena, a downpour of more than 4 hours provoked the overflow. CREPAD issues a yellow alert for 15 municipalities that are near the banks of the Magdalena River.
