Narrative paragraphs tell a chain of events to create a story with a
significant meaning. The story told in a narrative paragraph usually
depicts an event from the writer’s life. In the beginning of the paragraph
the writer sets the background by using the four Ws -who, what, where, and
when. Then the writer presents a beginning, middle, and an end in a clear
and chronological order. Moreover, is important to say that this kind of
paragraphs do not always begin with a typical phrase like "Once upon a
time". Writer can begin with an attractive beginning that engages and
catch the reader´s attention.
The following paragraph is a clear example of a narrative paragraph. It consisted on the First international EFL Teachers' Congress held in Florencia at Amazonia University.
